In the second module of this series we will explore how the WHO’s Intersectoral Global Action Plan on Epilepsy and other Neurological Disorders (IGAP) can be uilised as an advocacy tool.

You will learn how to use, understand and evaluate the WHO’s IGAP targets to assess opportunities for advocacy in your region. We will examine the WHO definitions of ‘health’ and ‘neurological disorders’ are and see how all those affected by neurological conditions are included in the context of Brain Health.

In section 2 we will take a detailed look at what is included in the strategic objectives of the WHO’s IGAP and learn about validating their associated targets.

Finally, in section 3 you will learn about public health connections to neurological conditions as we looks at relevant resolutions and commitments in support of the implementation of WHO’s IGAP.
