In the decade and a half since social media first emerged, it has evolved to become one of the most pervasive and important communication channels of the modern age. Because of its ease of use and ability to tap into peer-to-peer networks to spread advocacy messages, social media continues to change how advocacy organisations mobilise, educate, and connect with their stakeholders.
In this e-learning module you will learn:
- What social media means and the different platforms available
- How to develop a social media strategy – including establishing goals and objectives, audience targeting, content creation and understanding metrics
- How to develop a social media campaign – including developing campaign toolkits and maximising campaign visibility.
The module has three sections, which you can complete at your own pace. In total, the module will take approximately 50 minutes to complete. You should also allow time to complete the related worksheets and quiz.
