The European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA) convened its General Assembly on 8 April at the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel in Brussels, bringing together EFNA members from across Europe for key updates, strategic discussions and reflections on progress over the past year. This was a special gathering, as we mark 25 years since the establishment of EFNA.
EFNA’s annual Stronger Connected Workshop was held at the same venue on 9 April, entitled “Insight to Influence: How Patient Data Shapes Policy and Practice.” EFNA’s Executive Director, Dr Orla Galvin, opened the workshop with a presentation on the growing role of patient-generated data in strengthening advocacy, informing policymaking and improving neurological care across Europe.
EFNA Senior Communications Manager, Elizabeth Cunningham, then showcased EFNA’s ‘Neurolytics’ platform, an initiative designed to support EFNA’s members in generating meaningful evidence for policy and practice. The platform, which will officially launch next month, was presented as a key tool to amplify the patient voice and support data-driven decision-making in neurology.
Both events underscored EFNA’s continued commitment to collaboration, innovation and empowering the neurological patient community across Europe.
