EFNA’s Executive Director, Orla Galvin, was invited to lead an Expert Topic Deep Dive on “Harnessing Neuroscience Insights for Brain Health Advocacy.” The session sparked strong engagement, with the most requested follow-up from participants being additional time to explore how EFNA’s patient-centric advocacy model could be adapted and applied to their own work.

Orla also highlighted emerging trends, including growing calls for an expanded role for brain and neuro-specialized nurses to help address gaps in healthcare services and the ongoing shortage of healthcare professionals. Additionally, she emphasized the timely need for training on how AI and digital solutions can support healthcare professionals, patients, and families alike.
