Value-based Healthcare meeting held in Lisbon

A meeting on Value-based Healthcare was held in Lisbon on 20 February, organised by ICHOM (International Consortium on Health Outcomes Measurement) and EFPIA (the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Alliances), in collaboration with the Portuguese Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries.

At the meeting, EFNA president Joke Jaarsma addressed an audience of some 600 people highlighting EFNA’s work and the importance of patient participation in health outcomes measurement. In addition to explaining the relevance of EFNA’s work in this area, she illustrated how patient involvement leads to interesting results as this was shown in the Value of Treatment Study by the European Brain Council.
