End of year reflection

2024 has been an incredibly eventful year for EFNA, and we couldn’t have achieved all that we did without your support. As we approach the festive season, we want to take a moment to reflect on the past year and share some of the highlights that demonstrate the impact of our collective efforts.

Early in the year we established our first Community Advisory Board. The group’s active engagement has enriched our work and their input has been instrumental in shaping our initiatives and ensuring that our programs are reflective of the diverse needs of our community.

Our activities before and after the EU elections led to the continued influence of the MEP Interest Group on Brain Health & Neurological Conditions. The support of 17 MEPs in the new mandate and the resounding success of the group’s meeting in November reaffirm the significance of our advocacy work in driving positive change at EU-level.

Throughout 2024, EFNA has been deeply committed to high-level advocacy, participating in the Science Summit at the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York and the WHO Forum in Geneva. Our written statement at the 74th session of the WHO Europe Regional Committee further amplified our efforts to champion the needs of individuals with neurological conditions on a global scale. In October, we were pleased to announce that EFNA has been appointed to the Commission’s HTA Stakeholder Network.

In addition to our advocacy work, EFNA has just launched the latest in our Brain Health Matters podcast series, reaffirming our commitment to providing valuable resources and information to empower and support individuals across the neurological community. Listen to the latest episode, The Future of Brain Health, on our website here or wherever you get your podcasts.

Finally, we would like to remind you about a workshop we will be holding on February 4th- “Engaging in advocacy at EU level and the benefits that can bring nationally. This workshop is open to all, so please spread the word among your network and we hope to see you there! You can register here.

From all of us at EFNA, we wish you and your loved ones a joyful and peaceful festive season. May the coming year be filled with new opportunities, milestones, and progress in our collective efforts to improve the lives of those with neurological conditions.
